Provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures/policies and monitoring administrative projects
Assists in educating and acting as a resources to clinicians, families and support staff regarding authorizations
To assure all pre-authorizations have been approved with the proper procedure code prior to service being rendered
Responsible for pending billing reports on services provided without prior authorization to research/review eligibility and benefit coverage
Generates the appropriate referral with notification and exchange of information to the service organization for proper adjudication of payment
Provides data entry for proper level of care which has been arranged by the Authorization received from funding sources
Contacts providers with authorization, denial and appeals process information
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year administrative/office experience
Proficient in MS Office with emphasis in Word, Power Point and Excel
Schedule flexibility including attending appointments outside of normal business hours
